What Services Are Included With Ford Roadside Assistance?
Mechanical Breakdown Tow
Towing a disabled vehicle to the nearest Ford dealership, or the selling dealer if within 25 kilometres of the nearest dealer (one tow per disablement).
Accident Tow
When not covered by insurance, towing coverage is to the nearest authorized Ford Dealer or dealer-approved body shop, up to a maximum of 50 kilometres.
Battery Boost
Jump start battery. If unsuccessful, towing of disabled vehicle to the nearest Ford Dealer, or selling dealer if within 25 kilometers of the nearest dealer.
EV Tow to Charge
Tow to the nearest public charging station, participating Ford EV-certified dealer, or your home within 25 km. If outside of a 25-kilometre radius, Roadside will tow the vehicle to the nearest available charging station among the three options.
Fuel Delivery
Delivery of up to 10 litres of fuel to stranded vehicles (i.e. vehicles that are out of fuel and not running), up to a maximum of 2 deliveries in a 12-month period. Vehicles stranded at refuelling stations or dealers are not eligible for benefits.
Winching
Available within 30 metres of a paved or publicly maintained road, with no recoveries.
Flat Tire Replacement
Replace a flat tire with a spare, if provided with the vehicle. If a spare tire is not available, we will tow you to the nearest dealer or the selling dealer if within 25 kilometres of the nearest dealer.
Lockout Service
Unlock a vehicle if you are locked out (does not include the cost of key recovery or replacement).

Note: The Powertrain warranty is covered for:
- Cars and Light Trucks: 5 years/100,000 kilometres (km) (whichever occurs first)
- Diesel Light Trucks: 5 years/160,000 km (whichever occurs first)
- Heavy Trucks (F60/750): 2 years/unlimited km
You can submit your Roadside Assistance* claim online at www.roadsideclaims.ca to request up to $500 reimbursement for eligible tow services or travel expenses.
To be considered, your vehicle must have become disabled due to a mechanical breakdown which caused you to have to use a service other than Roadside Assistance or while you were more than 160 kilometres from your residence

Submitting Your Claim
- Submit claim within 20 days of the incident
- Include a letter explaining the breakdown and sequence of events
- Include paid receipts for towing, repairs, and related expenses
- Include copies of the repair or work order connected to the breakdown
- Keep copies of all supporting documentation for your records
Once submitted, claims are typically reviewed and processed within 4 to 6 weeks.
